My Anti-Valentine

Valentine's Day is the most ridiculous holiday ever created.
It's a day that couples feel waaaayyyy too much pressure to be perfect.
A guy must have lots of money, time, and great ideas for his girl.
A girl must wait around, spending hours getting ready for the unexpected.
If you're a guy, how do you keep coming up with new ideas every year?
If you're a girl, how do you prepare for the unexpected?
The whole idea of Valentine's is absolutely perpostrous.
It's like having another anniversary.
Isn't one anniversary a year enough?
You basically do the same thing for an anniversary as you would for Valentine's Day.
The man gets her flowers, takes her out to eat, gives her something special, etc.
Why must we make a man go broke twice a year?
It's such an uncomfortable feeling all together.
It's known as "singles awareness day", because if you're single you truly feel it on Valentine's.
There is no reason to be ashamed that you are alone. Your time will come!
Even if I were "in love", I would still hate it.
My thoughts on Valentine's Day to my boyfriend/fiance/husband would be "hey let's skip this and talk tomorrow". I can only imagine that he would agree.
What man wouldn't want to bail on such a holiday?
The day is there to express your love to one another, but shouldn't you being doing that everyday anyway? Why do you need a special day dedicated to it?
I find things like that more romantic when they are a "just because" surprise!
Therefore we should abolish Valentine's Day from our calendars and skip it! =D
Although card companies, jewelers, and restaurants wouldn't get as much business, men would have more money in their pockets, and women wouldn't feel disappointed or lonely!
PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

Secrets of Horrible Flirting

Some people are really good at flirting. They know all the ins and outs of the opposite sex, navigating their words like a captain at sea. They dance over waves to capture their opponents' hearts, and jump for joy in their triumphs. And then, there is me . When I think of a happy ending, I think of the usual fairytale ending most girls dream of since they’re little. I dream of having a wonderful husband and family and of course, the beautiful house with the white picket fence. Yes, the good ‘ole American dream.
